Welcome!
I’m Dr. Trevor A. Daniels, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and President/CEO of T. A. Daniels Psychological Services, Inc. First, I want to acknowledge your commitment to prioritizing your mental well-being. Just like physical health, fostering a strong mental foundation is essential in reaching your goals and living the life you envision. I’m honored to be part of that journey with you.
Throughout my career, three core beliefs have shaped my approach:
- Everyone has value—Recognizing your worth unlocks your full potential.
- Who we are matters—Acknowledging this truth leads to practical solutions.
- Our experiences are co-created—Understanding our agency allows us to shape meaningful change.
This perspective has helped my patients gain self-awareness and personal growth while allowing me to evolve both professionally and personally.
My Background
Originally from Northeastern Ohio, I moved to Southern California 26 years ago to pursue graduate studies in psychology. I hold:

- M.A. in Clinical Psychology (2002) with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Antioch University in Los Angeles
- Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology (2006) with a specialization in Multicultural Community Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University
My clinical training has included work at:
- Phoenix House (Lake View Terrace, CA), treating adolescents with co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders
- AIDS Project Los Angeles
- Pacific Forensics (Sharper Future), specializing in treatment for sexual offenders
- Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, supporting homeless youth engaged in commercial sex work
- Three years of post-doctoral training under Dr. Jeri A. Doane, specializing in schizophrenia treatment in Los Angeles & Long Beach
My Approach to Care
I have dedicated my entire career to social services, working at every level—from volunteer rape crisis advocate to licensed psychologist in independent practice. These experiences have reinforced a simple truth: We thrive when we collaborate, share knowledge, advocate for ourselves, and engage with our broader environment.
My approach is straightforward, respectful, and collaborative. I prioritize empowerment, helping patients increase their mental health literacy and confidently navigate their conditions. This leads to meaningful transformations—patients become more proactive, articulate their challenges with greater clarity, and develop strategies to mitigate the impact of their circumstances.
Treatment is a guided process, and while I direct its course, patients remain active participants. Open communication is key—if an approach feels overwhelming or unhelpful, we work together to adjust it. I firmly believe that knowledge is power, and my role is to equip patients with the tools they need to understand and address their unique challenges.
Above all, my consultation space is one of trust, honesty, and non-judgment. We work through difficult conversations together, ensuring that care remains ethical, effective, and compassionate.
